That’s right!  100% of our patron gifts go to support our artistic expenses and production costs such as artist fees, theatrical sets, lighting, costume design, props, shoes, etc.  This funding is imperative to the success of our operation, which affords our island based youth dance company, the MV Dance Theatre, the opportunity to showcase their talents and continue to train competitively for a career in the Performing Arts, right here on Martha’s Vineyard.   

Each contribution made to MV Dance Theatre Association is an investment in which every penny performs a major roll in the development and nurturing of the budding careers of this group of young island talent.  With your continued support we can:

insure that the company members of the MV Dance Theatre receive the most advanced curricula in contemporary dance, ballet technique and performance experience;

establish scholarships for those of exceptional talent and financial need;

enable commissions of choreographic works by renowned choreographers and dance companies as well as enabling emerging choreographers to explore new ideas;

attract gifted teachers from a variety of fields to our program, allowing for a rich and diverse dance education; and,

raise our funding bar so that we can qualify for State and Federal grants. This, in turn, will help us reach new heights in education, performance, community outreach and recognition.
